Star Energy Group plc has submitted several proposals to appraise and exploit the Albury gasfield.  These plans would have serious environmental impact for recreational users, residents & wildlife in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

If Star Energy's current plans go ahead there will be large scale industrialisation of Albury Park and the surrounding Surrey Hills AONB.  The SaveBlackheathCommon campaign was set up to defend our environment by opposing industrialisation of Blackheath Common and Albury Heath.

Star Energy have spent 3 years submitting plans for appraisal drilling of the Albury gasfield. 
Their repeat application for Albury Park is currently under consideration...
